Fall of 2017, I took a Black and White Photography class. It was a stressful class for me and very time consuming, but I learned so much and am grateful I took it. These pictures below are from my Midterm and Final.
For the midterm, I was given the task to print two photos containing shallow or deep depth of field, fast or slow shutter speed, shadows, and framing. I decided to take photos of downtown Lafayette. It was fun to do, and a bit scary, but it gave me a chance to explore.
For the final, each student had to take 6 rolls of film and choose 10 photos that would best fit their overall project theme. Since this semester was extremely rough for me, I decided to do a series titled “Self-Sabotage.” I set the images in an order that tells a story.
